He is passionate about supporting the local area and sources much of his
produce from a 20-mile radius.
Always a firm favourite with our festival audience, Matt will be demonstrating
one the restaurant’s favourites: herb crumb hake, warm tartare sauce and
baby gem lettuce.

Stephen Harris: The Sportsman, Seasalter

Stephen Harris is the chef at The Sportsman in Seasalter, which he took over
with his brother in November 1999. It has held a Michelin star since 2008, was
voted the number one restaurant in the UK in 2016 and 2017 at the National
Restaurant Awards and named Restaurant of the Year in the Good Food Guide
Awards 2023.
