FESTIVAL MARQUEE EVENTS
Sunday 5 October
Ryan Jacovides: Pomus, Margate
14:00 - 15:00 - FREE
Ryan opened this cosy neighbourhood wine bar and restaurant in 2024,
serving creative small plates, paired with exquisite wines from Kent and the
rest of the world. Recently, Pomus has grown to include a little sister wine bar
on Margate’s harbour arm and a restaurant in Folkestone’s creative quarter.
Ryan and his team will show you how they create some of their delicious small
plates, whilst pouring a signature aperitivo to pair with the dish.

Alex Prymaka: (formerly of No. 1 Oscar Road), Wine Tasting
15:00 - 16:00 - Ticketed event - £18pp
How could we not include a wine tasting at the festival? And who better to
close the marquee events than Alex with her passion for great wine?
This will be an exciting blind tasting session with six different wines. Put
your taste buds and palate to the test. It may sound intimidating to the
uninitiated, but it’s one of the most fun and interactive ways of tasting
- and there will be a few games to play along the way too.
No experience necessary - just a love of good wine!
